Class of 2027

Adrianna Carlton-Pitts

Undergraduate: University Of Cincinnati

Medical school: OUHCOM

Medical Interests: I am interested in Lifestyle Medicine, obesity medicine, preventative medicine, LGBTQ health, adolescent medicine, OMT, and serving vulnerable and underserved populations.

Hobbies: I enjoy cooking, baking, binge watching TV shows, attending concerts, collecting sneakers, spending time with my husband and family, and doing anything that pertains to Christmas!

Why Dublin: It is important to me to be in a program that is Osteopathic accredited, gives strong outpatient training, values wellness, has a familial environment, gives exposure to a diverse patient population, and provides room for me to explore my interests. The most important part is that it is a program with high quality training that challenges you to become the best doctor they know you can be! The real question is, "Why not Dublin?"!

Jon Burton, DO

Undergraduate University: Grove City College

Medical School: OUHCOM

Medical Interests: Outpatient medicine, lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, community medicine, OMT, point-of-care ultrasound

Future Plans: I hope to practice comprehensive outpatient medicine in central Ohio. My dream practice would allow me to incorporate lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, and OMT into my daily practice (to name a few). I look forward to providing compassionate care and building trusted and long-term relationships with each patient and the community that I work/serve alongside.

Hobbies: Spending time with my wife/family, hanging out with friends, playing/coaching soccer, running/weightlifting, watching sports

Why Dublin Methodist: The list of reasons for choosing Dublin could go on-and-on. A few of them include the genuine and caring faculty, co-residents, and staff, and a high-quality learning experience with an emphasis on outpatient training. Additionally, the established curriculum tracks/elective opportunities allow for an opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge of the different areas of medicine that I am the most interested in. Dublin FM also provides the perfect balance between challenge/growth and wellness/support. This balance has created a learning environment that will allow me to be the best physician that I can be for my future patients!

Sam Hamilton, DO

Undergraduate University: University of Kentucky

Medical School: University of Pikeville- KYCOM

Medical Interests: Outpatient, Rural/community medicine, OMT, preventative and lifestyle medicine.

Future Plans: After residency I hope to practice in a rural community doing outpatient medicine and working to expand access to quality healthcare to underserved populations. I hope to settle close to my hometown with my fiance, who is also a family medicine physician and potentially open our own small town family practice.

Hobbies: Spending time with my family, friends, and my dog Willow, reading, cooking and baking, being outside (especially in the summer), gardening, camping (moreso "glamping"), and trying new foods & restaurants with my Fiance!

Why Dublin Methodist: I chose Dublin Methodist because, while rotating with them as a student, I truly felt like it was my perfect fit. There is a true family connection between the residents, faculty, and office staff and knew I wanted that in a program. I also felt Dublin would be the best place to build the career I want to have and truly be supported in becoming the best physician I can be.

Taylor Boyd, DO

Undergraduate University: Ohio University

Medical School: OUHCOM

Medical Interests: Outpatient medicine, preventative medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, pediatrics, academic medicine, rural medicine

Future Plans: After residency, I plan to practice outpatient family medicine in a rural Ohio town, most likely in southern or southeast Ohio. My goal is to practice comprehensive medicine, using OMT, performing procedures and caring for people of all ages, from all walks of life. I hope to work for a medical school soon after residency, either teaching family medicine topics or OMT.

Hobbies: I love spending time with my husband, daughter and dog. We love to explore local coffee shops and restaurants. I am a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoy going to football games when I can. I also enjoy traveling, serving in my church, going to concerts, and watching reruns of Survivor.

Why Dublin: I chose Dublin Methodist because their mission to train excellent, well-rounded outpatient physicians was exactly what I needed. I knew the outpatient continuity offered at Dublin Methodist would expose me to a wide variety of patient populations, opportunity for procedures and ability to grow my OMT skills, all while still challenging myself in the inpatient setting. The faculty and staff at Dublin Methodist were some of the most encouraging and supportive that I had encountered! I knew they would be wonderful mentors to help me become the physician I know I can be. During my sub-I, the residents and faculty created a fun, supportive environment for learning and growth that I knew would help make these next three years worth it!

Tyler Knapp, DO

Undergraduate University: The Ohio State University

Medical school: OUHCOM

Medical Interests: Outpatient Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, Rural Medicine, Point-of-Care Ultrasound

Future Plans: I plan on pursuing a fellowship in Sports Medicine after completing residency. I look forward to practicing both family medicine and sports medicine in a more “small town” or rural area in Central or Northeast Ohio. I am excited to one day provide sports medicine services to a local school district while also offering general outpatient family medicine to areas that might not have adequate primary care access currently.

Hobbies: Spending time with my wife and our families and friends, hiking, travelling, attending OSU football games (Go Bucks!), and trying out new recipes and restaurants.

Why Dublin Methodist: One of the main reasons I chose Dublin Family Medicine was the amazing sense of community within the program that was evident from day one of my Sub-I rotation during medical school. The support offered top-down, from the faculty to the staff and other residents, was unmatched and made me feel part of the team even as a rotating medical student. Dublin Family Medicine also aligns very closely with my own goals that I have for my future, including an outpatient focus while also allowing room for exploring my interests of sports medicine and point-of-care ultrasound.

Connor Davis, DO

Future Plans: After residency, I plan to become a Sports Medicine physician incorporating a multifaceted approach to optimize athletes’ health and well-being as a team physician through preventative and evidence-based medicine. I will look to utilize my training in lifestyle medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine to wholistically care for my future community of practice, develop meaningful relationships with my patients, and encourage them in their respective journey towards wellness. Finally, I look forward to continued service through our church’s free medical clinic for our local underserved community.

Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, golfing, running, traveling, watching documentaries, trying new coffee shops, co-leading my church’s small group, and listening to music.

Why Dublin Methodist: I chose the Dublin Methodist Family Medicine Program because of genuine sense of community amongst faculty and colleagues alike, as well as the ability to tailor my residency education to my specific areas of interest through the Ultrasound, OMM, and Lifestyle Medicine curriculums. During my time with the program in medical school, I felt supported from the start and quickly appreciated the personable and intentional nature of the team. The level of camaraderie within the Dublin Methodist walls cultivates a learning environment that exemplifies an enthusiasm for the well-being of our patients, our team, and our community. I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Dublin Dream Team!
