Check out this story about Dr. Dada!
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Undergraduate University: The Ohio State University
Medical School: Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
Medical Interests: Academic medicine, addiction medicine, adolescent health, cardiology, community health, dermatology, gastroenterology, global health, hematology-oncology, medical education, mental health advocacy, OMT, obesity medicine, outpatient medicine, and reproductive health.
Future Plans: I want to stay in the Central Ohio area and work in an outpatient setting. When I am an established attending, I want to work at an FQHC or a free clinic at least one day a week. I also would love to have medical students and/or residents rotate with me. Overall, my primary goal is to treat patients from all walks of life and to do so with compassion. I want my patients to know that I am here for them and that they can come to me about any issue. Patient advocacy is what I am all about!
Hobbies: Spending time with friends and my very large Afghan family right here in Dublin (over ~50 cousins!), dancing and jamming out to music of all genres, running, cycling on the Olentangy trail, low-resistance exercise, spinning poi, playing with my cat, playing Super Smash Brothers, watching basketball and OSU football, volunteering, poetry, and fiction.
Why Dublin Methodist: The welcoming, supportive, and compassionate faculty and residents are definitely the main reason for why I ranked Dublin Methodist as my number one. I still remember when I found out that I matched, I received a flood of texts from my seniors inviting me to barbecues and offering a helping hand if I ever needed it. They definitely practice what they preach here and I love that everyone is a team player. I am very thankful to be a part of the Dublin Dream Team! The faculty has our best interests in mind. Family medicine is very broad, so it's inevitable that you find your niche in it. The faculty gives you the freedom to explore your specific interests and provides ample elective time during your second and third years (30 weeks). As you can see my medical interests are a hodge-podge of just about everything, and at Dublin I will get to explore them all! Also, our wellness is prioritized at Dublin. The faculty helps us practice healthy habits by penciling in time for gratitude exercises, physical activity and social events. The location is perfect for me. Going to medical school all the way in Chicago made me realize how important Central Ohio is to me. Also, I feel that it is my personal duty to give back to Dublin, since I went to Dublin City Schools from 2nd to 12th grade!
